As part of Bupa's ongoing commitment to its care homes, Sutton Lodge has recently completed an extensive £250,000 refurbishment programme. Set beside a lovely garden, which attracts an abundance of wildlife, Sutton Lodge benefits from an extremely peaceful location, yet is just a short way from the bustling village of Weybridge. Most bedrooms have en-suite facilities and have been stylishly refurbished, complete with co-ordinating soft furnishings and floor coverings. The rooms boast flat screen televisions, electronically controlled beds, telephone points and broadband access, 24-hour nurse call systems and new furniture. A number of bedrooms have views over the mature, sunny garden. The communal areas, which include a quiet lounge featuring original oak panelling, and the main lounge and dining areas have been beautifully redecorated to enhance the homely feel. Carefully selected lighting in the corridors creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. There is a separate television lounge with original features and a piano. In addition, the home has a dedicated activity room with daily pursuits including quizzes, crafts, and poetry recitations. Residents also enjoy visiting speakers, gardening and organised trips to local attractions such as the Savill Garden, Virginia Water in Windsor Great Park and Brooklands Motor Museum. Sutton Lodge also provides care to a number of people with physical disabilities, those who have had a stroke or require palliative or terminal care. |
