Now open! Thatcham Court is our new purpose-built nursing home specifically designed to meet the needs of elderly people diagnosed with dementia. The home extends over three floors, each with 20 en suite bedrooms, dining area, and communal lounge. The bedrooms each have a flat-screen television and access to freeview, telephone points, 24-hour nurse call systems and some open onto patio areas. The lounge and dining rooms are decorated to the highest standards and are well furnished to provide a comfortable environment for residents to relax and entertain guests. The larger lounges have flat-screen televisions. Thatcham Court has a dedicated activities room and offers a range of organised activities such as arts and crafts, gardening, music, exercise - as well as encouraging residents to progress personal hobbies and interests. Additional services, such as a hair salon, are also available. At Thatcham Court we are able to offer care to suit individual needs: long-term care for those who need daily specialist nursing dementia care, respite dementia care to enable carers to take a much deserved break, and post-operative care. |
